I have a long way to go to become a writer who knows how to write without having to look up how to write an APA paper or an MLA format paper. I see myself applying the information by using it in the following paper I write and in my other classes when we have to write a paper. I see myself in researching education, which is applied sciences, even though I don’t really understand how education deals with applied sciences, but we will just go for it. When it comes to research, I do not fully understand the concept of the subject or topic we are researching. I am not a strong writer, so I am still learning how to research and back up my ideas, as I was not taught this in high school. I am also still learning how to use primary and secondary sources when it comes to researching a paper for a class. When it comes to writing a paper, I usually wait until the last minute to complete it because I hate writing. It’s just super hard for me with my dyslexia and being unable not just to type word for word off the internet. Sometimes I type directly from the internet, but then rephrase it in my own words so that I don’t plagiarize and get into trouble, and so I still understand what I am writing and complete my work correctly. I really want to research more about education so I can gain a strong knowledge base and know that’s what I want to do with my life. And so I know that when I do have kids, I can afford the things they need. I am also curious about what people post on the internet about education and their perspectives on it.

I really enjoyed reading your post and getting a better understanding of your perspective as a writer. I totally understand having to still look at websites like Purdue owl to make sure I’m sitting my sources correctly. Don’t beat yourself up about it though even the best writers make mistakes and need help from time to time. The information that we have learned will definitely be useful in all my classes in the future but also my career. Applied sciences is when you use already known scientific information and apply it to real world problems. So in education you’re using knowledge and applying it on to young minds in hope to make an impact in their lives; hope that helps make sense of it. Also the topics we are researching is information that’ll hopefully further our understanding of the career path we are on, and to help us think more thoroughly into the careers we are pursuing. You are a good writer, don’t be so hard on yourself. I know with dyslexia it is more challenging to put what you want to say on to the page but I know you personally and you can do anything you set your mind to. Many of my family members are teachers so I know a lot about the teacher’s life. My mom is a kindergarten teacher and she loves it. She says that getting to teach such young minds you get to really see the growth in the short year that you get to be their teacher. I’m sure she would love to talk to you if you ever had any questions because I know you’re interested in teaching kindergarten. I also love how you want to make sure you can take care of your children. Planning for your future in my opinion even 10 years down the road is a great thing to do.
